FEATURES:

MAXIDECOR Velatura is a semi-transparent effect paint produced on the basis of an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic binder and special additives. MAXIDECOR Velatura is a waterproof coating, with good vapor permeability, harmless to humans and the environment, easy to apply. It is intended for the protection and decoration of external and internal wall surfaces, where it is necessary to achieve a gentle and exciting look. It is used alone, and can be used in combination with other decorative materials, especially for the protection of MAXIDECOR Travertino decorative plaster. It is tinted according to the MAXIMIX system according to the MAXIDECOR Velatura color card.

OPERATIING TEMPARATURE: The optimal operating temperature is from +10 °C to +25 °C. It should not be used below +5 °C.

CONSUMPTION RATE: 10–20 m²/L, depending on the roughness and absorption of the base, the technique and the method of application.

EXPIRY DATE AND STORAGE: 18 months from the production date indicated on the packaging. Store in original, well-closed and undamaged packaging at a temperature of +5 °C to +25 °C, protected from direct sunlight.

USE:

The surface must be: dry, wearable, clean and free of loosely connected parts, dust, water-soluble salts, grease and other impurities. Mechanically remove old paint that is not well bonded. Smooth rough surfaces with a suitable GLETOLIN smoothing compound. Before painting, impregnate the walls with a suitable MAXIKRIL primer depending on their condition. For decorative treatment of internal walls, before laying MAXIDECOR Velature, apply white MAXIDECOR Smooth Primer, respectively white MAXIFAS for external walls, with a roller or sprayer, in two top coats. After the drying of MAXIDECOR Smooth Primer, respectively MAXIFAS, MAXIDECOR Velatura is applied, which is delivered ready for use, it only needs to be manually mixed until homogenized. MAXIDECOR Velatura, tinted according to the MAXIMIX system and MAXIDECOR Velatura from different batches and production dates must be homogenized! Apply the material in smaller amounts gradually in one layer, with brush movements in all directions, on an area of 1–2 m². In optimal conditions, 5-10 minutes after application, dry brush again over the applied material to achieve the final look. When painting MAXIDECOR Travertino, it is necessary to impregnate it with MAXIKRIL Hidrosol. After the primer has dried (min. 6 hours), apply MAXIDECOR Velatura with a brush, roller or sponge and immediately remove the excess material with a sponge. Immediately wash tools with water after use.
